Pipe installation is a very straightforward procedure, isn’t it? You produce a pipe, transport it to the site and install it. Most companies think they understand all the requirements and procedures for the GRP pipe installation, but why then do 78 % of the pipeline final tests performed in these very companies fail at the first attempt? “Don’t worry, our pipes are very good”, the customer said during our last meeting. “Success is guaranteed”. But I had many reasons to believe their experts were wrong.
“Why pay an independent supervisor if we’ve got a very good installation company and instructions for the installation procedure from the manufacturing company?”
